Post transplant instructions
Post-OP instructions for a hair transplant
For healing after a hair transplant, follow-up care should be followed as recommended.
1. Headgear
Immediately after the hair transplant, you are fit for society again. So that no traces of the hair transplant are visible, you can wear a hat in the transition period. You will receive a bandana headscarf from us that can be tied at the neck. We recommend that you do not keep the bandana on as headgear in closed rooms such as the office or at home so that the wounds can absorb oxygen, the healing phase is accelerated and an increase in pressure in the head area is avoided. We only recommend putting on a loose bandana to protect you from strong sunlight, as described to you, when you leave the house.
2. Movement sequences
After the operation and on the following day, you should rest as much as possible and not go out of the house. Avoid strenuous activities or movements. This can lead to an increase in pressure in the blood vessels in the head area and to secondary bleeding in the first few days. You should also refrain from coughing or screaming loudly. Be careful not to hit your head. This happens quickly when you get in or out of a car and can cause bleeding. Avoid quick movements to the side, please do not bend forwards or backwards and try to keep your head as upright as possible. This will prevent secondary bleeding in the transplant and removal area, which can lead to problems with wound healing.
3. Sleeping position
For the first 10 days after this treatment, you should only sleep on your back and, if possible, in a 20 to 30 degree elevated position. Try to keep this position while you sleep. If possible, your sleeping position should be constantly monitored by a companion during the first night of sleep after the treatment. Use the neck pillow that you received from us so that the grafts and the graft area come into contact with other materials as little as possible and do not come off.
4. Clothing
The clothing should be chosen so that it is easy to take off and put on. This is especially true for the first few days after FUE treatment. We recommend wearing clothes that can be closed with a zipper or buttons and that do not have to be pulled over the head. Shirts are well suited as they do not have to be pulled over the head. For the first few days after the treatment, please ensure that there is no contact with the scalp or the transplanted area. This is especially true for the first 10 days after treatment.
5.Sport
High blood pressure can reject the graft. Sport, sweating, hard physical work and working in a dusty or damp environment, swimming, solarium, sauna, sun exposure and heat should be avoided for a period of 4 weeks after the hair transplantation for uncomplicated healing. We also recommend not having sexual intercourse for 2-3 days.
6. Alcohol & Smoking
To avoid complications after the operation, you should reduce alcohol and smoking before and after the operation (at least less than 5 cig. / Day). The healing phase could be delayed by smoking and alcohol.
7. Swelling & Medication
Due to the local anesthesia and the liquid that is sprayed into your scalp during the treatment, swelling occurs in the forehead area after the transplantation and, due to the force of gravity, is distributed over the face to the eyebrows / eyelids or down the cheeks. Usually on the third day after the operation, the swelling gradually decreases and finally disappears completely after 1 week at the latest. In individual cases it can take significantly longer to 2-3 weeks. Once the swelling extends beyond the neck area, it will no longer be visible. The fluid is gradually broken down by the lymph. Tips on how to limit the swelling: - Keep your head as upright as possible and do not lean forward. - Drink plenty of fluids as this will flush the fluids out of your body as quickly as possible. -Blow your nose as little as possible, because in the first few days after the FUE treatment, the resulting pressure can cause significant swelling. After the local anesthesia has subsided after the procedure, there are occasional headaches and wound pains which, however, quickly subside. All pain and discomfort can be alleviated with pain pills and antibiotics without any problems. Sensory disturbances and states of tension can occur in the donor area and in the transplanted area, but these subside after a few weeks. After the hair transplant, please take the medication you received from us as follows (until the packs are ready): After eating, -apro (anti-inflammatory antibiotic) 2 times a day -Xefo Rapid (pain and swelling reliever) once a day
8. Shampooing
Blood crusts develop in the transplanted areas after the operation. The crusts on the grafts must not be removed. With regular hair washing, these blood crusts fall off by themselves after 10 days.
The washing process should be carried out as follows:
-The first hair care and hair wash is on the 2nd day after the operation
Apply lotion & wash off
-Please apply the prescribed lotion carefully with gentle pressure (dabbing with clean fingertips, DO NOT rub) on the graft area. This will soften the crusts in the planting area. You can use the lotion normally at the donor area auftragen und in kreisförmigen Bewegungen einmassieren.
-Let the lotion work for about 30-45 minutes, then you can rinse it off with very careful dabbing lukewarm movements. At the dispenser area, you can rinse off the lotion with normal washing movements.
Shampoo Apply lotion & Wash off
-At the donor area, you can apply the suggested shampoo (Sebamed) normally and wash with normal washing movements. But wash the graft area gently. Please just dab, DO NOT rub or rub.
-Wash your hair with plenty of lukewarm water. Please run slowly.
Dry
-Do not use a hair dryer. Towel dry your hair without rubbing. Just dab. -Means such as hairspray, gel and the like should not be used afterwards. It is important that for a good healing process one is after а. Has removed as much of the crust as possible for 10-15 days. After 10-15 days after washing and rinsing no more crusts left, you can wash your hair normally with your own shampoo.
9.Hair growth after hair transplantation
Hair transplantation Within the first 2-6 weeks after the hair transplantation, hair remaining in the transplanted roots will initially fall out again. This is a natural response of the body to the transplant and is completely normal. The reason for this is a temporary lack of oxygen that the transplanted hair roots suffer during the treatment. These are weakened to such an extent that they temporarily go into a resting phase and initially repel the hairs. The roots are preserved. Са. Up to 5 months after the hair transplantation, the first hair roots begin to produce hair again. This “new” hair growth occurs very slowly and not in all transplanted hair roots at the same time. In addition, the beginning, course and speed of growth are very individual and vary greatly from patient to patient. During this time, small pimples can appear again and again (with one more, with less) and have nothing to do with the quality of the operation or the surgeon. The skin reorganizes itself, cleanses itself and in this context cells are discharged from the skin in the form of pimples. When the growth phase of the new hair begins (and this comes in З months), they “fight” their way through the scalp and want to get out, which leads to pimples. This is not bad for the roots of the hair and is a good sign that the hair is growing. Washing your hair every day with shampoo reduces the discomfort. 6 to 10 months after the hair transplant, more and more new hair will grow and for many, the hair will look impressively fuller and thicker. But even after 11 months there are often improvements, until after 12 months the end result is spoken of.
Dental Surgery
Implants
The number of implants depends on how many teeth you are missing. This treatment can include a missing tooth or a completely toothless jaw. If the jaw is completely just tulous, after assessing the anatomical structures, 6 or 8 implants are placed on both jaws, i.e. a total of 12 or 16 implants. The number of crowns placed on dental implants is 28. In partially edentulous cases, the implant treatment is designed so that 3 or 4 crowns are placed on both implants. Your treatment will be completed in two short visits to Turkey. The implants will be placed on your first visit. After that, you have to wait three months so that the connection between the implant and the bone is established. During your first visit, you can have temporary dentures attached so that you do not have to spend 3 months without teeth. During your second visit, implant crowns or dental implant bridges will be attached to the implants and your treatment will be completed.
Crowns
Dental crowns are coverings that mimic the tooth that has been lost for any reason or has lost its integrity. Dental crowns are used for teeth that have lost their integrity due to tooth decay or abrasion or are used for aesthetic reasons. During crown treatment, the neighboring teeth are thinned and aesthetically and functionally compatible crowns are attached. Tooth crowns are aesthetically manufactured in such a way that they reflect light like natural teeth and mimic the shape, size (anatomical shape) and color of neighboring teeth
Crowns with metal / Zirconium support
Crowns with metal / Zirconium support
It is a durable material made from the combination of a gray nickel-based metal and porcelain.
It works best for lateral or posterior teeth and implants.
Crowns with Zirconium support
Zirconium porcelains, which consist of zirconium dioxide, are extremely hard, extremely durable and, from an aesthetic point of view, preferred materials in dentistry. Zirconium is a pure white metal. Because of its high light transmission, it is an aesthetic material. The positive aspect of such a crown is that a white line will appear at the junction of the tooth and crown as your gums recede over time. It is used in case of lack of teeth or smile design
Smile Design
First, the patient's wishes are asked. In a conversation, the patient explains why he feels uncomfortable smiling. The treatment is planned and started accordingly. When designing the smile, attention is paid to the structure of the lips, the length of the teeth, the features of the gums and the harmony of the lips and teeth. Smiling is one of the most important indicators that reflect and influence a person's mood. This design is an application aimed at creating a beautiful smile with your lips and teeth in an aesthetically pleasing way. Thanks to technology and digital systems, it is used in a targeted manner. To get a perfect smile and uniform tooth structure and alignment, the upper teeth must cover the lower teeth. The upper teeth are highlighted. The lips and gums are adapted to each other.
